7th/8th GEP FLEX class project pathways - 1st Semester 2016
Congratulations! You've been selected to participate in the GEP FLEX class where technology, enrichment, and curiosity reign supreme. For this first semester, you may select one of the following pathways to begin:
- PokemonGO style augmented reality game. You will learn the Unity 3D game engine, principles of augmented reality and 3D, and will create your own interactive PokemonGO game. You may choose Pokemon characters, Superheros, and/or create your own 3D characters in Blender. You will import Google Maps and other important extensions into Unity and pull all the components together for a completed product that can be played on IOS/Android.
- Unity 2D or 3D online game. You will learn the Unity game engine, principles of interactivity and game design, and will create your own online interactive 2D or 3D game. You will storyboard and/or plan out the levels, maps, and characters as well as the game play necessary for others to play. Your completed game should be able to be played on IOS/Android and WebPlayer. See beginner 3D game example below...
- SketchUp Isle Of Hope Campus. You will extend your knowledge of 3D architectural design utilizing SketchUp, locate and study campus blueprints and measurements, and will design then 3D print a full campus map of Isle of Hope school to potentially be housed in our office.
- Georgia Media Festival animation/story. You will extend your knowledge of video editing/creation (and/or stop-motion animation) to storyboard, plan, create, and publish an award-worthy final video for submission to the GA Media Festival.
